When a manufacturing company makes products out of sheet metal or plastics they may need to have the unfinished product deburred before they can be finished or sold. A manufacturing company may purchase deburring equipment from a manufacturer who specializes in make deburring equipment or they may sent the parts or unfinished products to a company that specializes in deburring. A deburring machine may use a cold gas under pressure to freeze burrs, thereby making them brittle, and the knock them off the part. After the parts are deburred they can be shipped back to the assembly company or department to be made into the final product.
