Taxidermists can preserve an animal for display purposes by using a number of different tools and chemicals. Hunters frequently use taxidermists so they can showcase their recent kills, sometimes a pet owner might contact a taxidermist as well, so their pet can be preserved after it has died. Museums and zoos may also contact a taxidermist or use taxidermist supplies to preserve animals for use in exhibits. Taxidermists can usually preserve many different kinds of animals, including fish, sea mammals such as otter and seals, large mammals like bears and elk, as well as many different kinds of birds, such as eagles and turkey.
